Our frontline of defence against viruses, pathogens, bacteria and trauma is our immune system and its responses to the ravages that tend to be our major health risk as we enter autumn and winter.
Travel by public transport, aircraft, buses and trains that may expose us to a breeding ground of health compromising pathogens and viruses through skin contact and that which is transmitted through the air. Personal hygiene and a robust immune system are our defence to ward off the autumn and winter onslaught.
As the days draw in we must bear in mind our body’s need for sun exposure to produce the vitamin D our body requires to maintain good health, very often the fruit and vegetables that also support our immune response become less plentiful and more expensive, even so these foods are cost effective insurance to maintain good health.
