Ingredients:
1 cup milk (or any milk of your choice)
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp ground ginger (or 1/2 inch fresh ginger, grated)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp Silberhorn manuka honey or maple syrup
1/2 tsp coconut oil (for better absorption of turmeric)
Pinch of black pepper (enhances curcumin absorption
Pinch of ground nutmeg or cardamom (extra flavour)
Instructions:
Heat the Milk: In a small saucepan, pour the almond milk and heat over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
Add Spices: Add the turmeric powder, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, black pepper, and coconut oil (if using) to the milk. Whisk continuously to combine the ingredients.
Simmer: Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld together. Continue to whisk occasionally.
Sweeten: Remove the saucepan from heat. Add Silberhorn Manuka honey or maple syrup to taste and stir well. Strain and Serve: If you used fresh ginger, you might want to strain the milk before serving. Pour the golden milk into a mug.
Garnish (Optional): Sprinkle a pinch of ground nutmeg or cardamom on top for an extra touch of flavour.

Vegan Option: Use maple syrup or any other plant-based sweetener instead of honey.
