The history of white willow bark as a natural treatment dating back in recorded history to the Egyptian times of the Pharaohs through Arab, Greek and Roman history, right up to the beginning of the 20th century.
It has been widely recognised through the pharmacopoeia as a natural remedy for inflammation, headaches, fever, aches and pains including relief in childbirth, very often in the form of a tea.
In the late 1800’s Bayer developed a synthetic substitute for white willow bark of old, this became the base for many of the off the shelf headache remedies of today. The one drawback with these products is the side effects that relate to digestion and stomach conditions. White willow bark is one of the key ingredients in our Anti Flam Pluss product along with magnesium chelate, black cohosh, hops flower and devils claw.
