8-10 kumara pieces
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup water
2 tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon salt
Peel kumara, cut in ½ lengthwise. Place kumara in baking dish, combine sugar, water, butter and salt in a saucepan.
Boil slowly 5 minutes, pour over kumara. Bake ½ hour turn over and cook for another ½ an hour in a medium oven. Serve with roast meat.
