Shark liver oil is a by-product of the commercial fishing quota of shark as a food source. Shark liver oil is naturally rich in alkylglycerols, squalene, omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins A, D & E. Alkylglycerols are known for their natural immune supporting properties. Research into their possible use to support recovery after radiation therapy exist in a study in 1963 by Brohult entitled- “Alkylglycerols and their use in Radiation treatment”
